BD Black Diamond Vision MIPS is a super light climbing helmet designed specifically for those looking for a new helmet to tackle the most demanding multi-pitch routes and equipped with the innovative Multi-Directional Impact Protection System, or MIPS.

Equipped with a cap that combines EPP and an EPS disc, Vision is very resistant thanks to the polycarbonate shell that absorbs shocks to perfection. It did not end here, however, thanks to the presence of the MIPS system, the internal and external shell are fixed to each other by means of elastomers that allow the sliding of one part on the other.

This is precisely the innovation of this particular system. When the user has a not perfectly linear impact, the damage he can do to the brain is considerable. For this reason, therefore, when it comes to an angular or rotational impact, the inner shell is able to move a couple of millimeters going to protect the head and thus reduce the amount of rotational force that can be transferred to the brain.

Furthermore, side protections protect the garment at 360 °, also meeting the new requirements required by UIAA.

The openings are also strategically positioned to guarantee constant internal ventilation even at high temperatures.
