Edelrid Ohm is the innovative sport climbing brake now with new features and aesthetics!

A swivel has been added to prevent friction on the rope. The effect of the Ohm has been increased: the new variant helps 10 kg more! The effect has therefore been increased from 15 kg to 25 kg. The Ohm has also been modified from an aesthetic point of view and now has a much more elegant and high-quality appearance.

The weight difference between the two climbers can in fact become a problem when it is large. For the lead climber, it is easy to make a longer flight than necessary as the resistance offered by the lighter partner is low. For the belayer, the danger is of being thrown against the rock or gym wall due to the violent rip.

The Ohm is installed on the first quickdraw of the route being climbed. Due to its design, it can be installed directly on the bolt or on another quickdraw (e.g. the fixed in a gym).

The climber proceeds without noticing the difference: the Ohm does not prevent the rope from sliding upwards. In the event of the former flying, however, the Ohm is automatically activated, accompanying and braking the rope as it comes under tension.
Thanks to the Ohm, abseiling is also easier and less jerky.

The Ohm comes complete with 10 cm webbing and a straight lever karabiner, all included in the price.
