Edelrid Salathe Lite is a super light climbing and mountaineering helmet able to give you all the protection and comfort you need when climbing the mountains.

The 20% weight reduction compared to the iconic Edelrid Salathe was possible by replacing the ABS shell with Curv, the latest generation of a very high performance thermoplastic material. It has similar properties to fiber-reinforced composites such as carbon: good stiffness, high tensile strength, and exceptional impact resistance, all at a very low weight.

Thanks to its ergonomic shape, it fits firmly on the head without being bulky and guarantees very good impact protection on the sides as well as in the front and back of the head, tested according to EN 12492. The large ventilation openings ensure optimal circulation of the air, while the removable inner padding prevents pressure points and absorbs perspiration. The webbing adjustment system ensures an excellent fit and minimizes weight and size.

Headlamps of all types can be quickly and securely attached to the helmet with two clips at the front and an elastic strap at the rear.
