The La Sportiva Akyra II is a trail running shoe designed for long endurance runs such as Ultra Trails and Ultra Marathons. It is ideal for prolonged use on all off-road terrains. This shoe is exceptionally comfortable thanks to various features in the upper, which is made up of three layers. The first is an Ultra Comfort AirMesh, providing excellent comfort. Next, there is a heat-bonded microfiber application, the MicroLite Skeleton, which adds flexibility to the shoe while maintaining its shape over time. Finally, on the outermost layer, additional microfiber applications (Flex-Guard) protect the shoe from abrasions against rocks and branches, while keeping it lightweight. The Akyra offers unprecedented stability thanks to the TrailCage System, positioned between two layers of the upper, which connects to the lacing system, adding structure and creating a snug fit. The outsole is made of Fixion XT Red compound with Impact Brake System for enhanced cushioning and Trail Rocker system to facilitate a smooth foot roll during running.
