The Sportiva Akyra II GTX is a waterproof men’s trail running shoe with a Gore-Tex membrane that keeps your feet dry at all times. It is designed for the longest endurance trails such as Ultra Trails and Ultra Marathons in the winter months and therefore excellent for extended use on all off-roads. This shoe is very comfortable thanks to several features in the upper, which is made of three layers. The first is an AirMesh Ultra Comfort which provides a comfortable fit. Then we find a MicroLite Skeleton thermo-adhesive microfibre application that gives the shoe flexibility and at the same time maintains its shape over time. Finally, on the outermost part there are additional microfibre applications (Flex-Guard) that protect the shoe from abrasion against rocks and branches while keeping the shoe light without making it too heavy. Akyra is a shoe with unprecedented stability provided by the TrailCage System. This is placed between two layers of the upper and connects to the lacing system, also giving the shoe structure and a very snug fit.Finally, the sole is a Fixion XT compound with Impact Brake System to improve cushioning and Trail Rocker system to facilitate the classic roll of the foot during the run.
