Salomon’s MTN 96 Carbon is a ski touring ski designed to be light enough for ski touring but with a width worthy of the best free touring skis, it tackles the descents as efficiently as it does the ascents. Mixing all the strengths of Salomon’s iconic MTN 95, it boasts an Alpine shape and a lighter carbon structure. It is partly made from recycled and natural materials.
Ideal for advanced skiers who carve with confidence regardless of slope difficulty, snow conditions or speed.
Short turn: the imaginary circle created by the sidecut (radius) of the ski is < 15 m.
Medium turn: the imaginary circle created by the sidecut (radius) of the ski is between 15 m and 20 m.
Long turn: the imaginary circle created by the sidecut (radius) of the ski is > 20 m.
Touring profile
The skis’ medium camber offers good grip on groomed snow and icy couloirs, while a rocker in the tip makes it easy to float on fresh snow and manoeuvre in all snow conditions.
