Versante Sud UMBRIA Rock constitutes the first guidebook collecting all climbing crags in Umbria and its immediate vicinity. Those who want to climb in this region will find several proposals, new or completely updated. The crags are mainly winter, in any case it is possible to climb in all seasons. All in all, UMBRIA Rock is a comprehensive guide, the result of the fieldwork of the authors and a handful of friends who want to offer a tool for the popularization of sport climbing also in this corner of Italy.

For a long time, Umbria was known only as the “green heart” of Italy. Today this is no longer the case because, thanks to the work carried out by the authors, often personally involved in bolting several of the crags presented here, it is possible to try very different styles of climbing. They range from Ferentillo overhangs to slabs, which make up the numerically predominant part; all in a relatively small area.
